Indoor Meets
We are trying to find a suitable venue and time to meet midweek in Oban. For many years we met in the Argyll Hotel which unfortunately has shut. We have tried various other locations and are currently looking for somewhere suitable.

We hope to have something organised in the New Year.

Lectures & Member’s Slide Shows
We try to arranges an indoor programme over the Winter months.
Often club members have spent holidays in remote, challenging areas and we get a chance to share their experiences and photographs.
Other lectures are arranged for safety/training – perhaps avalanche awareness, winter skills etc.

Hotel Dinner Dance
Once a year, we really splash out and have a hotel weekend with a dinner dance. We are fortunate in having Bill ‘in the trade’ and he always arranges a good, well placed venue with excellent meal and band. This is often combined with a celebration - somebody finishing Munros (even for the second time), Corbetts or reaching one of these special zero birthdays.

Christmas Party
Another annual event which has reached legendary status is the Xmas Party weekend – usually near the beginning of December. Formula – a large house surrounded by great hills. Primed budding gastronomes and lots of tasty, seasonal nosh, washed down with alarming quantities of wine. Depending on the venue, there may be a wee ceilidh if there’s room.
